Just a warning to anyone with a fancy spoiler to becareful, as this type of theft is becoming too common. Had mine wrenched out in the early hours of tuesday morning .

It was a supra style wing for a 4 door 92-95 civic, so anyone with
sti5/6,P1 rear wings to be aware.

Happened to my GFs car as well a couple of years back, eventually managed to find out that a guy with a white cavalier GSi had it sprayed it and put it on his car, fecking ar$ehole. I told the police the guys reg and even his name but they did nothing, so I guess that's what we pay our taxes for [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]

Dougster, so the chain on a spoiler has tree purpouses now:

1. Banging on bucket's boot cover (heavy lock, remember?)

2. Smashing exterior looks

3. (the new one) Saying "steal me" for otherwise mute spoiler

Mind that I don't disclose other 99 bad things. Yet.

I reported it to the police but, it seems hopeless. The spoiler was the same idea as an sti v but supra style and are quite rare, so I'm on the lookout, but there's nothing to stop this from happening again.
I know a guy who owns an integra type-r who had his spoiler removed but the mf's broke the spoiler while atempting to steal it
so what did they do .........trash the car.

Just to make things worse later he got another wing for his type-r only to have it stolen again within a month.

Did he stick the spoiler well? Do you know where he keeps the car?

One of a hundred bad things to do about a car is "A GIFT". It normally works with door handles and locks, but a well-stuck spoiler will probably do with a lock&chain.

Just buy a chain with a lock used to secure bicycles, and lock it around his (yours) spoiler. Throw the key into a river. Dont be greedy when buying gifts - that should be pretty hard chain with a pretty heavy lock.

yep came out this morning and found my lip spoiler in a mess,some nasty rat tried to wrench the thing from car! can u believe it.i could understand if it was a top spec carbon fibre version, but this is only the shallow type. but the joke about a chain! well, im thinking that not a chain but the plastic cable type lock and thread it through one of the vent holes and attach inside engine area away from moving parts of course.that way they will destroy it and be no good to them, im betting they will be back.
