Stupid Speeders in Aberdeen
#1
I was very glad to see the boys in blue in their T5 last night by the Egg and Dart.
And again a T5 by the slip road from the A90 at the harbour exit (towards the Loch of Laurieston). Both with cameras.
I do hate speeding drivers, and I am sure that we all support this excellent Grampian police inititive happening in Aberdeen NOW.
You have been warned, look out for stupid speeding drivers in Aberdeen, they are a menace on the road.

The Saint,
can't argue with you there, keep the speeds for the open roads. Maybe they'll target the mums on the School runs - how many could actually walk instead of taking the car???
SiPie,
maybe he doesn't drive a Scooby:
Mike.

I saw the Volvo at the egg& dart last night - don't think it was anything to do with speeding as the coppers were across Queens road beside kepplestone... no idea what was going on, but their car was outside Lawries shop further up queens road about half an hour later (perhaps buying donuts! )

SiPie,
I am glad you recognise irony when you see it....
The A90 (harbour turn too to Loch of Lauriston) trap was very sneeky, as if you come off the backroads from S Deeside road, you have to pull out in front of other cars, sometimes going at great speed. Even a cautious driver might have to accelerate to get a safe distance from a big lorry bearing down at him/her at 70+ mph.
If you did so today, GP would have been there to give you some points, and an fine. Crazy IMHO.
No GP presence outside schools. And I did not see them on the dual carriageway where visability was very poor tonight, and I saw crivers tailgating at 90+ mph, not to mention undertaking at high speed.
Moan moan. I think the T5 boys are generally very professional, but I wish they would not always concentrate on speed as the sole cause of easy money (sorry, accidents).
