Noticed this post on Strathycruise

Step forward the bloke from Calder Motor Company, Edinburgh (the Jap car importers) who having taken out a heavily modified Skyline R32 and a Integra Type R in a similar state of modification, which I assume are both from the forecourt of the garage, decided to blast the Skyline round again on the last session of the day...

...and barrel rolled it over a tyre wall. Try explaining that one to your boss or your traders insurance company

any other details on this, what is the strathycruise address?

I was told that if you hit the grass sideways,to burry the loud pedal.I am sure it was this that saved me rolling the day I went off.

the scoob that dropped it's guts was not a black import was it?,there is one that always seems to give problems at the start of the year.

According to reports it was indeed Dee driving. He also had a Integra Type R out for a run. Probably thought he needed to get the cobwebs off his forecourt stock. Was talking to somebody that was there yesterday and he was not very complemntary about his driving or many others.

Have to say that the day I went on a Hot Hatch session in the Elise, and with another guy in an Exige, we had a great time and standard of driving was fine. Think we were just very lucky as it was a short notice event, so wasn't too busy, about 35 cars.

A black and white Scooby blew its engine and was sick all over the track.

My mate was up at the track day yesterday, and he thinks he's caught some of it on his in-car video.

The skyline was driven by Dee, and it was in last weeks Autotrader for sale. He's tried to power slide round the hairpin, ran wide and caught the gravel which put it into a roll amd straight over the tyre wall. It now needs re-shelled.

The Impreza, from what I was told is from sports car services, and was originally painted gold and green. It also was for sale.

Happy buying.

Sounds like Dee from Calder.
He's a complete nut.
And the Integra is specced to the eyeballs; turbo and NOS too, with carbon fibre bonnet if it's the same car.

DR Motorsport,

@ the speed in which he came into the hairpin there was NO way he was getting round the corner - He was seriously motoring when he passed a Nova into the cones. He got it sideways, but the car just caught as it hit the gravel and I think that it basically cleared the gravel to reach the tyres.

I have never seen a Skyline going for it big-time on-track, but I was mucho impressed - It didn't really look/sound fast, but it was making very, very swift progress.

Other than his 'incident' the driver was VERY smooth.

Kosy,

Spectators are not allowed into the area where the car ended up - Basically staight-on @ the hairpin.
