Default Need Your Advice

So im going to be purchasing a 95 wrx wagon on wednesday, it has roughly 300bhp, but i havent owned a turbo car in ages so i cant really remember the power and pull that they offer. i currently drive a 7seater diesel which is probs the slowest thing ever-_- but i have driven an st220 mondeo just recently and it had 220bhp and i found that pretty quick, so how fast should i expect the subaru to be?
reply soon
thanks

highly doubtful it will be 300 bhp and a 95 wagon isnt that fast at all really probably the same as the mondeo

If it's a 95 wagon it is more likely to be running near the stock 220bhp, unless you have a dyno printout to prove the claimed output.

The wagon is lighter and rawer so it may feel quicker, those ST220 Mondeos run newer tech and are pretty quick as it is they'll probably be just as fast on the road.

A 300bhp classic tends to go like poo off a spade

im not sure it will make 300 bhp on a standard turbo and injectors, not saying its not 300 bhp but make sure it is before parting with the money.

Buy it on the balance of it's condition not on the claims of it's out put Dyno printouts are mostly bollox IMHO. If it turns out to have some tidy parts, bonus 300 on the standard I/C injectors and potentially a TD04 is pub talk.... if it has the TD05 you might get to 280ish but the closer you get to 300 the injectors will be maxed out and the charge temps will make that power quite fleeting

The guy hasn't said what modifications and everyone is jumping to the gun. This is why this sight is pissing me off. Yes it's a 95 wrx but it could have a VF 34 so easily in the 300 area. Any classic at 300 is a quick car it will have a few other mods to make it that quick but it will defo feel an improvement over an st 220 (even a focus rs will feel slower)
Oh and I drive a uk 2000 (and not the be all end and all STi) if anyone is wondering.

With 458bhp and 482lb ft.

Well instead of getting all shirty with yourself and coming on here asking dumb questions why not imagine what a car with a third less shove than yours feels like?

Fecking time of the month on here tonight!

Always wondered why there are so many WRXs and Turbo 2000s with knocking bottom ends in the Boots car park

I presume by this question you did not test drive the car? Or get the owner to drive it to give you a bit of an example of speed?

Who drives a nearly 20 year old car before buying it?

You're so behind the times mate, log in on here and ask someone how it feels!

Clearly not you. I always test drive any car I buy. Regardless if it's 1 year old or 20

I assume he's going to view and test drive on Wednesday. It's only Monday now and the post was made yesterday....
