Default Why would you buy this P1???

Just looking through the classifieds on Pistonheads and spotted a P1 that was for sale for £13k, With that price in mind, I thought that it would have to be a bit special, but looking through the advert I think its the owner thats special.

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifie...xperiment=true

Here are some of the spec!!
ENGINE WISE IT HAS A LOT OF STEALTH/ RALLY INSPIRED MODS. IT HAS BEEN BUILT TO BECOME A RALLY CAR....

IT IS ELECTRONICALLY LIMITED TO 385 BHP, DYNO PRINTOUT FROM JANUARY TO PROVE.
HUGE GARRETT 56 TURBO - BRAND NEW, 44MM EXTERNAL WASTEGATE, SCREAMER PIPE, DUMP VALVE, INTERCOOLER, HUGE HUGE AMOUNT OF BOOST AND GOOD OFF BOOST TOO.
EXHAUST SYSTEM IS A CAREFULLY SELECTED, EXTRA QUIET PRODRIVE EXHAUST WHICH IS BEAUTIFUL AND SILENT WHEN NEEDED AND REALLY THROATY AND VOCAL WHEN PRESSED. MANIFOLD CHANGED BUT CANNOT FIND THE DETAILS...
Why would you sell a car for strong money and know nothing about it, and if you do know nothing about it, why dont you just look at the receipts instead of making up rubbish!!

Did you not know, that you can legally changed the logbook of a wrx to p1 ?
All you have to do is fit a p1 lower splitter !!

Descent spec, has had money spent on it and would be prime for a restoration to standard if that was what somebody wanted.

Ok the owner may sound like a bit of an idiot- but that's not the cars fault! :P

Dont think its a spec I would pay £13k for!! Probably a £8k car at most!! People where selling high spec Type R's(ppg boxes, forged engines, AP brakes etc) on here about 5 years for £13k!!!

Or to put it in perspective, this well spec red Hawkeye Spec C for £13k
http://bbs.22b.com/forums/showthread...c-c-litchfield

Or that 60k mile P1 with a spec list that the owner doesnt know about for 13k

So the thread title is 'this car is too expensive' then? As I would buy that P1 - just not for the money being asked

Has it still got the 19"inch Superleggera's you bought off me about 8 years ago!!

Was a good spec back then, so imagine you've improved it over the years!!

If it was un-molested, it would be worth more.
