Is there such a car as this if so are they any good? A guy by me just pulled one out of his garage and it looks lovely but I never knew they did this model. Can someone enlighten me.

I'm not sure about it now then trooper it has around 55,000 miles FSH tax and mot, but no leather seats it has the normal 2 tone blue sti ones and gold alloys not silver but it does have a rear wiper. How much do you think his is worth and can I type his number plate in anywhere to check it is what he says it is. I would be grateful of all input on this.

Otherwise why waste peoples time
He wants to know whether the type 25 on PH is for real without giving away that there is one listed so no one can buy it before he shows up
Well of course this is just an educated guess :-D

No the one on pistonheads has been on there before and no matter how many times I try the person won't answer my calls or emails but never mind. The one I'm talking about a guy near me realised that I had not got mine anymore and waved me down this morning to show me his, not sure why he hasn't spoken to me before but maybe wanted to show off. He wouldn't let me sit in it look at the engine or take photos of it (really strange and left me thinking why flag me down then) hence it started me thinking is it what he says it is? I'm going to view an 04 wrx sti in wr blue on Wednesday local to me with around 65,000 miles, FSH, ppp pack so hopefully I may have my new Scooby on Wednesday if all works out.
To be honest I own a hawk type 25 and would not be very happy if just anyone started ringing up asking questions about the car if not even for sale.

Yes I agree with you on his reputation and service but unless the person is selling the car why ask questions about it.

?
What is so special about those two on PH? They are not based on a spec c, don't have a roof flap, no special spoiler, no AST suspension, blue interior instead of the black one , no cosworth lump, etc. IMO it lacks anything that makes a type 25 desirable. I might be wrong though, so please enlighten me. Really.

Not all T25s were based on the Spec C, you could choose the base car, so won't all have a roof flap. If they are genuine T25s they will have started life with the AST suspension, but who knows what has happened since? Only the Spec C had a black interior, so same reply as above re being based on the standard JDM.
Only the Hawkeye models had the Cosworth motor as standard (other than one blob that had it retro-fitted). These need just as much maintenance as the early T25s and many suffer high oil consumption. Having driven a couple of T25s (both blobs) I can reassure you that they are a fantastic drive and highly desirable
