Impreza type 25 Litchfield jdm import?

Is there such a car as this if so are they any good? A guy by me just pulled one out of his garage and it looks lovely but I never knew they did this model. Can someone enlighten me.

Google is your friend.

But yes, they do exist, are sort after, well respected and not cheap.

I'm not sure about it now then trooper it has around 55,000 miles FSH tax and mot, but no leather seats it has the normal 2 tone blue sti ones and gold alloys not silver but it does have a rear wiper. How much do you think his is worth and can I type his number plate in anywhere to check it is what he says it is. I would be grateful of all input on this.

Tidgy 10 March 2014 02:18 PM

They were all custom built by Litchfield.

Was something of a brilliant car but not without problems.

Find out the serial number and drop litchfield imports a call about it.

surely that's only relevant to phone Ian if the guys selling it or he is actually looking for one ?

Otherwise why waste peoples time :thumb:

Regulars will know Gonzo is on the lookout for a Scoob and as cash.

GotBoost? 10 March 2014 08:13 PM

He wants to know whether the type 25 on PH is for real without giving away that there is one listed so no one can buy it before he shows up

Well of course this is just an educated guess :-D

GONZO01 10 March 2014 08:29 PM

No the one on pistonheads has been on there before and no matter how many times I try the person won't answer my calls or emails but never mind. The one I'm talking about a guy near me realised that I had not got mine anymore and waved me down this morning to show me his, not sure why he hasn't spoken to me before but maybe wanted to show off. He wouldn't let me sit in it look at the engine or take photos of it (really strange and left me thinking why flag me down then) hence it started me thinking is it what he says it is? I'm going to view an 04 wrx sti in wr blue on Wednesday local to me with around 65,000 miles, FSH, ppp pack so hopefully I may have my new Scooby on Wednesday if all works out.

Tidgy 10 March 2014 08:42 PM

I'm sure with Iain's excellent reputation for customer service an enquiry about a car would be little trouble for them.

Yes I agree with you on his reputation and service but unless the person is selling the car why ask questions about it.
To be honest I own a hawk type 25 and would not be very happy if just anyone started ringing up asking questions about the car if not even for sale.

Osimabu 10 March 2014 10:25 PM

Is that all Blob T25s are worth nowadays? They've really dropped if so. Or is it the 2.5 litre engine worries affecting them?

Buy Brian's Red Hawk Spec-C for £14k now that's a bargain ;)

XRS 11 March 2014 10:57 AM

They both look cheap to me.

GotBoost? 11 March 2014 11:14 AM

I don't know. They are just jdm cars with a 2.5 l engine with forged pistons, but there is no mention of forged rods, bearings etc.
No roof flap, no spec c goodies

GotBoost? 11 March 2014 10:36 PM

?

What is so special about those two on PH? They are not based on a spec c, don't have a roof flap, no special spoiler, no AST suspension, blue interior instead of the black one , no cosworth lump, etc. IMO it lacks anything that makes a type 25 desirable. I might be wrong though, so please enlighten me. Really.

STi8 12 March 2014 01:54 PM

Not all T25s were based on the Spec C, you could choose the base car, so won't all have a roof flap. If they are genuine T25s they will have started life with the AST suspension, but who knows what has happened since? Only the Spec C had a black interior, so same reply as above re being based on the standard JDM.
Only the Hawkeye models had the Cosworth motor as standard (other than one blob that had it retro-fitted). These need just as much maintenance as the early T25s and many suffer high oil consumption. Having driven a couple of T25s (both blobs) I can reassure you that they are a fantastic drive and highly desirable :)

GotBoost? 12 March 2014 02:06 PM

Ah ok thanks for clearing that up. But don't they suffer from the same problem as other 2.5 engines bar the pistons?
