You could install a Forge re-circ. valve as I'm assuming the valve you've got is a VTA? alternatively, you could use the original Subaru valve using an adaptor. Have a word with Alyn at ASPerformance as he now does the bits that Harvey Smith used to sell.
Whatever you use, you'll still hear the valve, as again, I'm assuming there is a cone filter used?

Mine was built by Darren at DLM for Harvey, (to Harvey's specs). It uses the Forge recirc d/v.

Yes, you can go d/v less, but it's not kind to your turbo, so why?

If you start changing the air supply, you may need the map looked at.

Its getting mapped again by jgm next Wednesday as its had a td05 put on it.jdm v5 sti wagon.
I've only just got the car but it had alcatek ecu already on it.
I've read a couple of threads that you lot have asked why go dv less and jgm said it should be fine.
I'm a complete novice to this so just taking advice from those in the know.

If you are interested in either a blanking plate or an adaptor plate for a standard re circ to fit a fmic, have a look in the group buy page on here

I make both of these and you can see plenty of feedback from the ones who have had them
Regards
Neil

No, use Photobucket.com or similar.

OEM recirc on mine, earlier car than yours though.

Feed to the idle control valve.

ICV takes it's feed from the inlet, after the MAF sensor. I did it like that to keep the pipe work as short and tidy-ish as possible, after taking advice from some other knowledgable folk.

You should have a pipe that's been bunged due to the VTA fitted, you'd need to remove the bung, and connect to the recirc there.
