Default replacement morette glass

Hello, so i am in need of replacing the glass front for my morette headlights on my blobeye. i found these and am checking if they are good or is it that any 5 / 34" is good.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1112763008...ht_1185wt_1257

i know the plastic housing is no good so i was going to remove the glass and hey presto fit it to mine. just checking if this will work ?

A blobeye with Morettes? You learn something every day.

Carefully check the diameter of yours and if they are Cibie. Alternatively, look at the coding on the glass and then ask the seller.
There are a few 5 3/4" lights about, Hella are among the best, but Cibie are what they usually used.

What can you possibly do different with morettes, change the colour of the lenses?

The rears I don't like, but trust me, separate lenses for dip and main beam are ALWAYS better!

Rears are not nice at all, fronts would be a lot better if it wasn't for the indicator looks really out of place!
Be interesting to see what your doing with the Morettes

If I had to make a choice, on ANY car, I'd go for an ugly set of lights that did the job properly, rather than the best looking lights in the world that were useless.

Function over form for me every time.

As a young man I drove escorts with Cibie and Lucas rally lights. Folk mocked, but there wasn't much could stay with me in the dark

Ha, have only just learned iirc, I can not compute afaik? I think they do sell the bits seperate, I'm sure the plastic covers were over £200 on there own when I was looking before, but the website links won't work on my phone anymore for some reason.
