So I've finally cleared out the garage and put the scoobie in there as it's the cars new home! I stupidly left the hand break on will take it off tomorrow. Is there anything I need to worry about? Car will sit there for maybe max of 2-3 weeks at a time during really bad weather etc (want to keep it in as nice condition as possible instead of parking outside in the elements) only coming out in the sun / dry as it's a weekend toy. I've read about dehumidifiers so will get some for the car, how long should I leave them there before replacing? Will it be ok for 2-3 weeks? What about mice / spiders?? I'll get some poison tomorrow also - garage is not a fancy insulated one gaps in the door. Any advice appreciated Thanks!

Ps nothing else in the garage just the car and the odd spider.

I leave mine under a cover for months on end and use these dehumidifiers -

dehumidifiers

No need to keep them on charge

Also, try one of these Optimate chargers

Leave the battery on a trickle charger and drive the car for a good 30 minutes every 2-3 weeks to get the fluids warmed up and any humidity dried up.

Use air stopper in the garage door and a dehumidifier.

Ideal humidity levels should be around 50-60%.

Thanks guys some good info there! I'll see if I can sort the gaps around the garage door and get on the dehumidifier case. I was also going to put some carpet attached to the wall where I open the door just in case!

thanks for the link chap, how many of these do you use and where do you place them? Sorry if that is a stupid question but never actually garaged a car before believe it it not!

I chucked 4 in
In the front and back footwells. I found mould in my car before using them and although I've not used them in my scooby since then they seem to collect a lot of moisture out of the 964.

Have a little look at Carcoons. They keep the car clean, dry and come with a battery conditioner. Expensive but (IMO) the best option by far. I use one for the Porsche over the winters. I little off topic but check this topic out.

Excellent - I've bought 4 as well from the link you provided - cheers! It says allow 28 days for delivery??? lol no rush then! Will buy another shortly for the boot aswell. Hopefully won't be an issue with mold as the car will only be in there a couple of weeks at a time (depending on the weather). Those carcoons look really good - how much of an overhead are they on maintenance? (filters etc)
