I am currently thinking about giving my blob sti a respray in white




Would it devalue it at all ??

If done properly then in my opinion it will actually add value. White blobs (any newage infact) always sell very well and often demand a premium.
However, a proper colour change is expensive, I wouldn't be surprised if you'd need to spend 3 grand all done for a nice job.
Will a white blob after a 3 grand paint job be worth 3 grand more than a blue one........ im not so sure.

thinking of doing the same to my blob. I'll be getting everything sprayed on mine, inside boot/doorshuts etc and majority of the bay aswell, whatever can be gotten to without removing the engine.

Will deffo help the car stand out a little more anyway I think

It won't cost me a great deal if anything as I am a painter any way , lucky me lol it will be a proper job doors off glass out etc

Needs a set of springs/coilovers on it first, looks like a forester.

That is true I'm on the case for coilovers at the moment , Rome wasn't built In a day

If i was a painter i would paint every car a own haha As already said im almost positive if you done a spot on full colour change you would add £££ onto the value

Decided to go for it engine out the lot as soon as we have a slow patch at work

As your doing at just cost then it's going to add value as said above white newage ones do seem to be more valuable/desirable!

I would def do the black and de-tango headlight mod and spray the wheels black aswell.....not a fan off white on white, only on a classic for some reason lol

Wide track would be a good idea , I want to paint all the underneath parts as well I.e subframe , arms etc

with the engine out try and tidy up the engine bay,wiring etc.

I've seen in person what £3k can get you, both good and bad.

Actually I will be using one of the best products money can buy (Sikkens) base coat and clear coat but I just get it at a very discounted rate as the company I work for buys a lot of the stuff from them
