Default Subaru forrester s/tb

Any forrester owners on here? Looking for one for the mrs they seem quite cheap around 98-2000 but know nothing about them...

She needs a car big enough to carry the buggy, kids, dog etc etc and these seem to tick the right boxes.. What do you guys think?

Cheers Al, take it the jdm's are quite rare? Only come across one on auto trader under the 3k mark... Also I take it the maintenance for these are identical to the imprezas?

early UK spec "classic" style Forester's have a very small turbo fitted as std and are around 170 - hard on fuel and little headroom to tune
if you go this route stick a TD04 and then map to suit for a far more economical and nicer driving car IMO

Cheers Al, so after reading a little online last night defo think the jdm stb (approx 240) is the route to take... seems it's a better all rounder with the added power too...

Seen this on eBay what do you think price wise is this what I'm looking at?
