Default Help! Temporary repair advice

Hi all. Having just got my suspension upgraded for a European road trip, I have reversed into another car, and torn the rear bumper and cracked the light cluster. It all pushes back into place, but I want to tape up the bumper and the small hole in the bottom of the light, so recommendations for water resistant super strong tape would be much appreciated. Got to buy it tomorrow, as going Tues. Even had Duncan remap for French fuel .And it is handling really nicely. Bummer. 3rd bumper in a year ffs.

You could always drill holes along the bumper split and rip tie it like the drift cars do.

You can buy Plastic bumper resin repair kit. You will need to drill holes along the split for the resin to push through. So drill the holes and rip tie as a temp repair, then use the proper resin when you have time to remove the bumper, repair and re-paint.

Check out the wheeler dealers show where they did up the 8 series BMW. Ed repairs the bumper with resin on that show.

Thanks for that. All good advice. Funny thing is that each time this has happened has been at our local rugby club, where my lad plays. I must get a bit over involved and then when I jump in the car it`s my first chance to chat to him about the game, and I am obviously not concentrating; someone else did the first one!

First year I took my Scoob to France, got lost looking for a guy's house, reversed into an opening, and hit a concrete block I couldn't see.....
