Default what next? subaru for me

right. i have a bug wagon wrx,de catted and remapped. otherwise standard.
im getting a little bored with it and have around 4/5k to spend on something else.
i want a wagon as i like the practical side of them.
i want all or most of the sensible mods to be done to around 330ish as i just want to drive it for now.
ive seen the mint classic 2000 and the couple of white jdm wagons on pistonheads etc.
ive never had a white car and ive had about 20 in my time and im not sure i like them but all the jdm sti wagons seem to white? will other colours come up or is that it white?
it is my 2nd car and i would be selling my bug if i liked whatever else i bought but ive never had a classic and the bug is my first subaru. ive toyed with getting another newage [blob] and doing it up but to expensive and probably the same experience as my bug.
i do enjoy driving and grew up on astra gte, escort xr3i,cavalier sri etc etc but never owned a classic. hmmm decisions decisions.

guessing you've seen the silver UK classic wagon in the classifieds on here, good history by the looks of it and at the power level you want and around your budget. Must be one of the best wagons for sale atm.

can you still use the classic as a day to day car i.e. take kids and bike for 45 min drive or are they quite unforgiving and uncomfortable for long periods? and as someone described the throttle to be the on off switch.

See what Hurst Cars has in Bedford. STI wagons do come up fairly often. I had a silver one, I'd have another one but it would have to be grey, best colour IMO. The only other wagon I'd have would be a GB 270 but the road tax is a bit steep. At least with a classic there's reasonable road tax.

I'd have bought it by now however my budget is a bit lower and already have an agreement on a 03 WRX PPP wagon.

Here's a V6 within your budget (and if the chap on the Audi forum is right then this is the other one in the UK lol) you've probably seen this already but put off because it's white, still does look good and the advert reads well, doesn't look like he's scrimped on it with the Simtek ECU etc, very nice power/torque also.

Yes ive seen that.but just can't get used to the whiteness of it.must be because transit vans etc are all white. Also with British weather its always gonna be dirty.
