What's it worth question?
On the lookout for a sport wagon and have come across one on evil bay which is quite close to me, it's a 2004 with over 130K on the clock.
I don't mind the mileage, as long as it's got a good history and it comes in at the right price, now this is where it falls down.
Only part service history, clutch is supposed to have been replaced last year, but with no evidence in writing, ( invoice etc ), same with timing belt, ( apart from a sticker under the bonnet ).
Asking just over £3K, which I think is too much taking into account the above, by the way, it's a private sale.
What are your thoughts about value of such a car, just going on the above, as I know other stuff matters as well.

If there is no hard evidence to back up either the cam belt or clutch change I would walk away or factor in the cost of replacing both if you made them an offer.

It's quite hard to gauge without seeing any pictures etc. What I would say is that it's probably priced about right, I would say around £2800 would be fair. The problem still is you still have a car with a patchy history so although you might be getting it for a good price it may cost you much more in the future.

Looking around the various sites it would seem that some of the wagons are vastly overpriced. I was talking to a seller the other day regarding his '51 plate bugeye with nearly 100K on the clock, I asked why he thought it was worth 3k, he said its because he had spent money on it, ( clutch ).
Surely that's part of car ownership, ( wear and tear ).
