Bugger!
While the car was apart i fitted a set of sti brembos to my uk300..
Just been out finishing off and gone to put the wheels back on.. Of course the rears went on fine.
The fronts however need a spacer so the calliper doesnt hit the spokes
Anyone know:
1. How thick a spacer is required? 5 or 10mm?
2. Where i can buy wheel studs that are longer by however thick the spacer is
And there was me thinking after 5 weeks id have it back on the road....

Yeah std uk300 wheels. I thought the 18's cleared lol. They are hitting a lot.
Ill send m444gy a pm cheers.
Also looking at the inner part of the hub, it looks like its a hob off job to change the studs over... Ffs
Edit. Pm sent lol

It doesn't matter if it's 18" it's all do do with offsets I think the STI offset is ET53!
With spacers your best to go with hub centric as the put less stress on the wheel bolts.
I think iirc when I done it on my classic it's hub off to do change to longer studs

My wheels say ET53 on them too???
Hopefully then once the stud is knocked out a bit it will give enough angle to extract.
Cheers alyn, i thought it was. Goes as mine were ET53 and 18"... Im sure ive seen the same wheels on a car with the brembos.
Turns out me research wasnt correct lol

Thanks Alyn, hopefully have time tonight to get some m12 washers on the studs and see how thick spacers i need, and then work out what length studs will be required.

Ok i need 5mm spacers. The hub studs are 40mm long and so far i cannot find any 45mm long.
As it is there should be 10mm of thread to go into the nut, which is about halfway along the flat of the nut.
The studs come out the hubs with them in situ, so thats a bonus lol.
But i can only find studs from 50mm long
The nut will take 20mm depth, so if i get 50's then its going to be bottoming out on the nut...
If i get open nuts, studs and spacers i might as well buy another set of wheels lol
