Default Milltek

I'm looking into getting a milltek for my 2003 blob sti uk and have noticed they do 2 sizes 2.75" and 3" bore , would there be a major difference in sound and performance ??

Assuming the car isn't highly tuned, the 2.75" covers it performance wise. I'd say these systems aren't "LOUD", in a good way and are very well finished.
We supply Jetex, Cobra and Milltek, with a discount.

I had a Milltek full de-cat 3" system on my classic. Sounded good and wasn't all that loud (I later changed it to a louder system). I wouldn't say the quality was all that great though considering what they cost.

I'd certainly agree with Matty's first comment.

A fellow SN member was interested in the low volume of mine.
I don't know exactly what the system cost but I know that:

a) Litchfield were impressed enough to include it as part of their 'upgrade'; and
b) it's been on the car for 8 years and has no problems whatsoever.

Don't bother with off the shelf systems, get a custom one made at Infinity-Exhausts. They will make it exactly how you want it in stainless with lifetime warranty for half the price and much better quality

Thats a £100 cheaper than Miltek and better quality materials and better flowing system. A decat downpipe will be around the £180 area which again is £70 cheaper than Miltek. Infinity number is 01454 273 123

I have had six exhaust systems done by Infinity, and for quality, sound and performance i would never go anywhere else. Plus there customer services and after sales are second to none.

Alan I have the Powerstation/Litchfield 3' system on mine with the spots cat centre, how restrictive do you think the cat is and how much for a decat centre to fit my system in 3'?

What different back boxes do milltek do ? I am aiming for around 400-450 Bhp which exhaust out of the two will be best suited ?

I'd put the 3" on at the power level you are aiming at, I put the miltek 3" with sports cat on 6years ago and it's served me well from 300hp at the time all the way up to 440hp.

I've a 3" with sports cat on mine and it's pretty noisy but in a good way. Perfectly fine but it can get a bit annoying on long trips. Excellent build quality too by the look of it.

Sports cat centre? I thought the Milltek systems Litchfield's supply just used a sport cat downpipe with open centre pipe?

The 2.75" isn't restrictive at those flow levels.
