I'll get grief off alcazar for saying this but,,,,,,,
I always use 100W super bright H4 bulbs off ebay in my imprezas. Admittedly they shouldn't really be used on the road but I never ever had any problems. Never got flashed and never had any problems come MOT time. Classic headlights are **** so bright bulbs seemed an obvious choice for me.
Halfords do some decent bright bulbs but they are very expensive, I used to get mine from ebay for under a tenna.

Isn't the maximum 60w in a classic? Reason I say this is my classic
blew a bulb last year and when I pulled the blown bulb I found it was
a 80w(already installed when i bought it)and had melted part of the bulb holder.

Thanks all.
Prices range so far from £4.99 to about £90.
I'm a little concerned with the Xeon kits due to them being hated by public and boys in blue.
I think it'll be a £4.99 replacement to get me through the holiday season followed by some Phillips after paying the credit card off.
Thanks again all.

Theres no need to be concerned about xenon kits as long as you get a daylight kit (white light not blue), get your headlights set up after fitting...I had a xenon kit of all my cars from VW Golfs to Type R STI's...
Now I have factory xenons with my JDM, going out in cars without them its like little candles being held in front of the car!
Halogens are dangerous, they should be banned.

Jdm reflectors are different shape to give a proper focused light with xenon bulb, classic headlights are h4 and I haven't seen an acceptable h4 xenon kit they give bad light scatter and the textured lenses add to the problem even more, I am fed up of being blinded by poor xenon conversions but the police don't seem to do anything about it.
