An uprated panel filter would be a better choice. Induction will upset your MAF without a remap.

Theres always a reason why things are cheap. Going for the cheap option when modifying a subaru impreza is not the best idea.

The kit im looking at sits the filter in the wing. So not sure tgat would fit.
I honestly cant see an issue with just using a cheap kit with a good filter.

There is no issue as it is the filter that filtrates,As Long as your using a good one from the likes of K&N GREEN COSWORTH etc...and the induction pipe is in a position to pick up good air flow you will be fine.SJ.

I had an induction kit on mine.

The late, great Harvey Smith pronounced it, "Pretty good.......if it was on a lawnmower!"

The one I have now is the one linked above.
Smaller ones strangle the engine.

I have the inner wing pipe work on my blob STI, I checked the filter a while after buying the car ( CAI kit had been fitted a few years previous, believe it was a k&n typhoon kit ) and the filter on the end was tiny, covered in ****e well the bits that were still there as the rest had rotted off and in desperate need of attention.

After a week of ringing round loads of reputable tuners etc and trying to work out which filters can flow enough air for my 330bhp, which filter was going to fit my inner wing best etc I thought f*ck it and ordered a £22 ramair filter from eBay, its spot on car runs great and it still looks new months down the line, the one that was on was tiny and the car was running fine even though the filter was caked in muck lol.
