I thought that was a problem exclusive to Scoobynet and Subaru's?

I love the over-engineered range-topping Golfs. The MkIV R32 was the only example of that model that could claim to be a proper motor.
I don't agree that it is a badly modified car, it's been kitted out to a very high standard and would obliterate most of the sub-500bhp cars people on here own in a straight line. The only bad thing about that car IMHO is that it has been lowered too much.
£20k is unfortunately an unrealistic price because of the climate. I would challenge anyone to get hold of a MkIV R32 and make the same or better for less.

That's not the way the car market works, you don't take a 5k car, spend 15k on mods and expect to sell it for 20k, at least not to a sane buyer.

Yeah, anyone wanting to build a car to that spec would be far better off buying that car. It bet it goes like ****. I personally think it's worth £15-17k.
