new wheel colour
so as i said i was going to do last week i have finally resprayed my wheels on my sport
i hope you all like the colour i have chosen< i know some of you do not like bright wheels on a road car but im quite happy with the end results
this is what it looked like after a recent clean
first i took the wheels off and had a look at what state they are really in and found that they had been previously sprayed (badly and only the fronts) from gun metal greay to gloss black
i then cleaned and rubbed them down
primered them all over
masked and sprayed them
peeled off the tape
whacked them back on after they had dryed
and there we have it. i think the car has enough black on it to work with the red.
hope you all like it.

Yeah, dont worry, thats just tubby ...... hes the scoobynet resident c**t!
he used to have his own padded room called fight club where he could troll unsuspecting passers by and get away with it. Now thats gone unfortunately he spends more time out here trolling through innocent posts.
Rise above, he knows hes a c**t, we know hes a c**t, hes happy being a c**t and we must be getting pretty good at ignoring the fact that hes a c**t.

i did see that going on but thort it best to stay out of it. i do like to hear other peoples opinions on what i have done but each to their own i say, if it makes you happy you should go for it regardless of what anybody says.

i like the idea of colour coordinating the door handles and funny you should mention lowering it as i have a 40mm kit coming (when ever it arrives) and am hoping to get it done this weekend. what lights do you suggest going with instead of the lexus ones that are in it already?

If it was me, id colour code the rear spoiler, door handles and anything else that can be done (id do everything inc bumper etc), if you really want some black, keep the lower spoilers/sills black so it looks like a lower line kit, would look pretty smooth then, but just my opinion...
Ah i did the lowering springs when I was younger, destryoed the handling on my Golf and made it ride like a bag on nails..but its all money at the end of the day so can understand just going for springs, however coilovers are coming cheaper these days

if your doing it on the cheap. fit a set of sti springs, that will drop it around 25mm of sport height and improve handling. and pick them up for £20 no lol
heres a pic of my other sport when i was 19 with sti springs fitted, that gives you an idea

Horrible, just horrible. Don't like that at all. I know you think it looks good now, but in 10 years time, you will look back at this and think 'What the hell was I thinking?'.
I can handle the wheels and at a push, the stickers but red brake drums?
Really?
If you are trying to make it look like a turbo, why advertise the fact that it has drum brakes?
Honestly, that will look 100 times better if you put it back to stock.
Respect for the effort you have gone to but you have ruined a perfectly good motor.

he seems like a genuine guy and is quite happy to refund me but as they are cheap and suppost to be on there way finally i just gunna trust him for the time being. thanks for the advice, i have just had a look at some coilovers and they are (at the moment) way above my budget. so i will have to suffer for the time being and see how i get on and if its a pain i will go for the sti spring option.
