Default Md321v turbo

Hi just wondering is anyone on here running the above on a 2.0 if so is the lag terrible or ok currently have a TD05 20g currently. On a 2005 sti cheers

It will most likely be 'laggy', but that will depend a great deal on what gear you're in when you call on it for boost.
Plant your foot at 60mph in 6th and it'll go to sleep.
Try the same thing at 5k rpm in second and it'll be off like a dog shot up the ****!

You might be better off with a smaller more responsive turbo like an SC46.

Thanks mate just got a chance of a swap for something I have.. Love the 2.0 but hate the lag

Well have the 321, flog it and get something better suited.
I've had a '46 on a 2 litre and it's a very nice combination.

1 bar at 3100
447 on methanol.

As said get the v and swap for a more suited turbo like the 321t

Yer il just get a sc I think just can't decide probs 46 I think.. Went on rollers last week tqs was fine but bhp was down think I had a boost leak as it should of made a lot more power I've tightened the Fmic as the bolts were not quite tight and eml was on due to the second 02 sensor I've since fitted a new a sensor now and it's now off.. Does the eml effect the vvt

Hi there

Is yours V Billet or non Billet,if its billet and its standard inlet size(58mm) I would keep

Do you running FMIC or aftermarket ECU?

For best from this turbo you will need aftermarket ECU,FMIC,GT Spec headers with Harvey Up pipe,with those you should be have great spool and will make more than 46

Hi Jura. I thought the 321v only came with 76mm intake due to size of the compressor wheel?

76 billet it is ... I have 750cc injectours fmic 3 port Harvey uppipe headers 3 inch system hks induction

Hi there

What I've seen Billet V should make on right spec 2.0L or 2.1L 480-500bhp on V-power alone at 1.7-1.8bar,on 20% meth I would say 530-540bhp should be achievable

You are think when you switch to SC46 you will have better spool up?

I don't think you will have better spool up with SC46 like you have right now

SC42 will work better on the 2.0L or try swap yours for MDX321T

I have a 2005 blob sti. I originally had a MD321T but then a MD321V came up for grqbs and was advised (wrongly) to swap. Had problems with boost creep had yo have a 6k kimiter and very laggy. Only had it on few weeks now back to A MD321T.

It would be very laggy on a 2.0.

I have a 2.1 with an MD321V non billet. It made 495bhp/420ft lb at 1.8 bar on v power (non avcs P1), but it doesn't get going until late 4000 rpm.
