No not the Tina Turner track or in fact the result of successful ******* escapades but my Wagon's penchant for steaming itself up!

Is this a Subaru trait? My last classic wagon did this as does my mate's Legacy. Are there any common water ingress points or is it just something to live with? With winter fast approaching I'm hoping to get it sorted.

Thanks a lot.

Usually the boot seal but check suspension turrets at the top as they can ,and do,rust away ,causing far more problems than steamy windows

First thing to check is always that you don't have the air recirculation button pressed: fresh air should always come in from outside.

Second, check the carpets on the transmission tunnel near the front aren't damp. If they are, your heater matrix is leaking.

Lastly...water ingress points? You ARE kidding, right?

Boot and tailgate are known ingress points, (rear lights, spoiler, spoiler wiring, rear screen, vents low down on the inside of the boot....)

Also, if you bring water in with you and do mainly short journeys, yes, it'll keep steaming up.

Pollen/cabin filter changing that makes a difference, at the back of the glovebox.

cat litter in the foot of a old pair of tights, hide it under a seat,
the cat litter absorbs the moisture.

Nice one, I'll make up a catsan special and have a good look at those areas mentioned. I've never seen another car like it tbh. Will report back if I find anything significant.

Still love the car regardless! Got "owned" up a dual carraigeway by a new shape Audi TT last night. Took it like a man, blamed everything but myself. Naturally
