Default fuel light

hi guys
can anyone tell me where abouts on a bugeye fuel gauge does the light come on? ive just had my clocks out to remove the tape over the check engine light and I must have moved the fuel gauge needle when I was doing it lucky enough my light has just come on so should be able to get it quite"ish" accurate.

cheers in advance fellas

really hate running mine down to the light, always have a habit of refuelling at quarter of a tank, only ran it down once to find out when the light comes on or even if it works

mine come on just above the E

Best thing to do is keep a jerry can in the boot and let it run out. You will then know the true position of the empty mark. Don't worry about dragging up **** out the tank, there's never normally any ****e in the tank. And for the chance there is the pump has a filter sock and after that you have a inline fuel filter.

My light comes on in a different position every time !

Does moving the needle not destroy the dial ? Pretty sure I heard that in a YouTube video on how to split the cluster.
