Default Advise on pricing a car.

As I'm nearing completion of my project / restoration of a v3 555 v-limited.
I'm just wondering on the prices these are fetching. I know that I'm probably not going to make money, I'm just hoping I'm not going to lose money.

It's a 97, V3 555 V-LIMITED. No 517
100,000 kilometers
Full mot
Full tax
Some history
And 3 owners.

Here's a pic of the car, it's taken when it was first imported. I google searched and found this pic.

And a few pics of the state it was in when I got it.
Again this pic is from the sale ad I bought it from.

A few of the strip down. Excuse the poor pictures.

So, it will be finished in the next few weeks.

Any advise welcome. ;-)

Have you Googled "V3 555 V-LIMITED for sale" ?

Should give you an idea of what they went for, and when.

Yeah, prices are all over the place. I sell cars for a living, and I know how I would price a standard sti. But as it's a rare car, I thougt I'd ask an opinion on this. I've got £4500 in my head ??

I'd say that's a tad over the top, but depends on what's been done and to what standard, your just going to have to suck it and see.

Stick it on Ebay that will tell you exactly what it's worth when it sells.

Did you paint over the rusty arches?

If you can bring it back to its former glory and have sorted all the hidden rust then you should be able to get £3500-£4000 if you can find the right buyer since it's only done 60k miles.

Yes, there was only 1 arch that was rusty. Once sanded down, there was a hole size of a 10p. It's been cut out, re welded and treated. There was no rust elsewhere.

I may end up keeping it until prices go up some more, but then they may crash ?
