Default Newer ECU into Older Car

Hey guys, I was very curious and wondered...is it possible to fit the ECY from the Version 6 cars, 99-00 I think, into an older model classic? Mine is a 95, which makes it a Version 2 if I'm not mistaken. It's got a Z4 ECU in it at the moment.

Thank you.

Hi there

I don't think this will work, you have only option go with aftermarket solution such as ESL,Apexi or SimTek/AlcaTek or Syvecs etc

Nope unless you have mucho dosh and a very good electrician/mechanic/computer geek friend.

To start with the electrical harness and engines are very different but I like to be proved wrong.
