Carbon vs. alloy bonnet (classic)
Just a quick question, does anyone know if there is a significant weight saving through fitting a carbon bonnet to a classic that already has an alloy bonnet fitted?
I've got the chance to get a second hand one but I'm wondering whether it's worth living with the (IMO ugly) later style big scoop.
I can't find a reverse scoop to fit it either so that's out of the window
Many thanks,
Paul

Especially one thats only half painted......
The only way to pull a carbon bonnet off is to have it painted. And to be honest the benefit is that small its not worth the money or hassle.

It already has a carbon boot and carbon V6 spoiler.
I think it looks ok.....
Maybe a carbon bonnet would be a bit much.
