Hi all.

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jamie and I am seriously considering buying myself a blob eye sti. My budget will only allow for a pre wide track, but that to me is not a deal breaker. I am looking to spend about 6k.

I'm 26 years old, and after a few years of different cars (205 Gti, Mk2 Gti, Mr2 turbo and a VR6) I am after something a little more special. Enter the scooby.

To cut to the chase, I was curious as to whether there was anyone in the Haslemere/Guildford/Surrey area who could give me a demo of the car? Seems a strange request but I don't want to waste anyone's time who is selling one, if that makes sense. I'm mechanically minded (Auto engineering graduate) but have no experience with a boxer engine, or indeed something which gets to 60 in less than 5 seconds.

Would anyone be able to help. I think it would be sensible to see and be taken out in one for real prior to staring my (what will be) life taking in over search!

Thanks guys. I had heard of Surrey scooby but thought they'd be some cross pollination between the forums. I'll stick a similar post on there.

There is a Subaru dealer in Haslemere but they didn't have anything "that old" when I asked :-(.
