Parking Tickets
So today parked up on the double yellows on a back road to grab a can of diet coke from a shop. No one else around, quiet street.
Just as I'm paying up noticed a council warden next to my car. Think he arrived on a bike.
Would have beaten Usain Bolt over those 20 metres, drove off before the bugger could print his ticket. He definitely didn't take a pic.
Some people at work reckon they'll post the ticket, others reckon it'll be recorded as a drive away and nowt will happen.
Anyone care to share their experiences?

Here's a legal/bureaucratic can of worms about to open up I think.
First issue is that Double Yellows are no waiting, not no stopping.
'Waiting' used to be loosely classed as the vehicle remaining in the same place for 5-10 minutes ie. the warden, plod etc. would wander around the block and if it was still there, especially unattended then you were done.
IMO this is an important distinction and point.
Suppose you have a sudden, shall we say, clinical incident. It is reasonable for you to stop, leave the vehicle and do what is necessary.
It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes, hence common sense leeway.
The last ticket I saw actually stated that the waitng was 'between 16:40 and 16:53' or something like that ie. shows that it was waiting, not just stopping.
I'd wait and see what happens.
If it arrives, and you're of the opinion that you were targetted by a revenue-fixated jobsworth write and ask them is it not reasonable for someone with a gippy tummy to go to the toilet? (not that you went there, if you see my meaning).
