Default One tyre replacement or 2 or 4?

OK i have a bubble on on of my front tyres (caused by a big stone on the road)

Having owned a Calibra turbo 4x4 is was best practice to replace all 4 tyres at the same time (swaping back/front every few thousand miles) i'm guessing it's the same on an Impreza?

I don't really want to replace all 4 as they have really good tread on them, i was thinking just replacing the front two, or could i get away with just replacing the one?

Advice appreciated guys...

It's the same with the Impreza & I think it advises in the handbook to keep tread depth to within a mm all round!
I always rotate front to back, every mid service. But then I never got more than 12 months out of a set of 4 anyhow....

As a minimum, i'd replace the ones on the same axel & keep the best as an emergency spare. Or maybe replace all 4 & do the same, keeping the best as spares, should you pick up an irreparable puncture!

it's best to replace all 4, but you could have a look on ebay and buy one with the same tread depth as the others
