Getting there slowly. Pain is a lot more manageable now. Hell I even managed a few pulldowns this morning! Once I get the all clear from the dvt I can start an exercise and rehabilitation program. :-)

Thing is he left a deposit on it and has now vanished and nobody can get hold of him. He told me he had lost his phone so I gave him the number again and when he didn't call I asked him for a number so I can call him and he hasn't replied since

Send him a PM on here.
Give him a week to respond and check his profile daily to see if he logs on or not.
After a week, if he's been online and not responded then spunk the deposit and sell the shell to someone else.

Already done all of the above apart from the last bit Sadly though he took some cylinder heads so that has pretty much wiped out the deposit so that's maybe why he's not bothered about losing his deposit

I'd just like to know what's happening rather than being left playing guessing games.

Quite clearly he's just a messer who's too scared to tell you he's changed his mind.
Advertise it and get it sold buddy

I don't want to get too legalistic, but just to pair up Matty's advice (which I totally agree with) with some protection for you.

Take his advice one more time and PM the buyer, stating that the goods need to be collected within 5 days, unless otherwise arranged, and if they aren't then you'll put them up for sale and his deposit won't be returned, being used to cover your losses (I understand about the CH's) then check every day to see whether he's logged in since.

If he has, take a screen shot of the page, as proof that your message has been delivered.

That way you are covered in the event that they come back at you.
No-one would find against you, either in a real court or some of the adhoc ones held on here at times.

Thanks for taking the time to time to reply and I like the ideas, to be honest I just want to know what is going on and maybe I'll get answers this way. I will pm him again later on tonight when I get home and if he responds I'll update this thread.

Thanks everyone for their help and advice

Paul

Ring engine tuner and explain to them what's happened, hopefully they will put the job on hold until you get down there to pick the head up
