Question yes im a newb to the site lol

Sorry if im in the wrong forum guys. Im on my fourth impreza so far. I have sprayed and rebuilt my wagon myself. I recently dropped a forged lump in with no teething issues. Im fairly knowledgeable with cars but im now stuck with an issue and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction pls. (Gf8, ej20 block)
Basically my car feels gutless after 5thou and splutters, if anyone knows what I mean. Turbo is 20g td05 so im used to a bit of lag, and thats fine. I have blink tested with no fault codes numerous times, compression is good, bearing in mind its only covered 8thou miles. Uses no oil or water. I changed plugs and coil packs due to some hairline cracks, when I saw these I thought I was onto a winner as a previous scoob had same issues. This has done no good at all, still same. I was wondering could it be the ignitor breaking down? Any help/suggestions would be much appreciated pls

Running polar chip, decatback, toyo headers, toyo fmic, large alloy rad, uprated fuel pump, recon 440ccs, new plugs, coilpacks, genuine filters, oil cooler, forced induction from bumper.etc etc. I have cleaned maf with proper spray, the lambda sensor is 8thou miles old, still looks new, genuine bosch. Rolling roaded 348, so well within capability of engine. Prob not best set up for chip but hey. Sprayed silver with metal flake. Yes injectors are a tad small I know. And yes when I have the money I will get esl ecu or similar, just want it running again. Anything u can think of? Its just not moving after 5thou when boost is usually full in n im back in the seat. Only boostin 1 bar too so not fuel cut. I had that on my bugeye. Cheers

The problem is you have too many mods for a none mapped car. You'll need a full re-map, the polar chip won't help things.

so lets get this straight.

you have an issue with your car, you ask for advice,we tell you the problem.

is this not problem solved or have I missed something.

I admit you sentences are like a 10 year olds and for some reason you have to randomly write lol but im sure we have solved the issue.

We joked on here recently that you should remap the car if you do so little as change the wheels. On a serious note it is best practice to remap a car after interventive work e.g. exhaust and air filter - and a necessity to do so after something like an engine build.

I'd suspect the coil packs or plugs but I am amazed you have done all that without remapping the car especially for someone who claims to know a thing or two about them. I'm not entirely sure how a forged build is going to benefit from a chip that isn't best suited to it, you'd have been better off doing half that work and going for a proper map.

There is a distinct possibility that running all that stuff without a remap has buggered something up and that is the cause of your problem. One thing is for sure though, I'd be saving up for a remap or considering selling the car on as it's going to get really, really expensive when that lot explodes.

Edit - you may have early HG failure or something similar.

who rolling roaded it at 348 bhp as I cant believe any tuner would let you run a car with those mods and no custom map.

There is no mention of a remap in the OP's first post.

This is wind up.

I wouldn't think those dodgy toyo headers would be helping, many threads on here from well respected mappers regarding cars holding back up to 100bhp with these on back to back testing with them on and off, very very restrictive due to their design being seriously flawed, my advice would be get **** asap, other than the mapping thing lol
