They're possibly binning the Subaru sales side but will be continuing the servicing and parts. My car is going back on Tuesday for them to rectify their work....

Walldonway closing
I had a flyer in the post today from a Croydon dealer stating that there was no longer a Subaru dealer in Kent...to my surprise.
I've been a Walldonway customer for 18 years, know the guys well so called Bruce who runs reception.
They are closing end of Sept period.
Hell of a surprise. Apparently the owner wants to retire but why close down?
Surely the business has value and could be sold as a going concern?
Or maybe not...the staff are in the dark and busy looking for jobs.
An excellent dealership gone.
It was hinted something might rise from the ashes but not locally.
I'll get a phone call if it happens and will post any relevant info here.

Hope that they are still around for a while - they took 2grand off me this week for bits... Bruce was there a while ago and I had an email exchange with Wayne this week, but will be on he phone first thing...

Just spoken to Wayne - at the moment the news is that they are now going to trade on into October rather than ending at September end, but it is finely poised. On a personal level, they are hoping that someone else comes in but it would probably be a different brand.

Walldonway is no more! I have been a customer of theirs for getting on 20 years and was trying this morning to book my car in for a service, only to get the 'number not recognised' message. After some lateral thinking, I managed to track down Bruce and he and head mechanic, Clive, have set up a new Subaru service centre in Marden, Kent.
The new place is a bit of a hike for me, but the customer service from Bruce and Clive has always been exceptional so its worth it. If anyone wants the new address/number, send me a PM and i'll forward to you. Or if the mods ok it, I can post on here...

Needed some work on the Forester - ABS and Traction Control lights were on and my local man was unable to rectify. Being in SE London, Walldonway would have been my nearest but having seen this thread I gave Bruce a call - car went in Monday and diagnosed as a dodgy relay. All sorted. Whilst there, they gave the car a quick once over and noticed the pads were down to less than 1000 miles - got a call asking if I'd like them done. Picked car up this lunchtime - very pleased with the service and said I'd post up on the forum in case anyone else looking for Subaru garage.
They offer the usual garage facilities, while you wait appointments, collection and delivery, loan cars and access to a tie in locally for Mots and bodywork.
They're about 5 minutes walk from Marden station.
Labour was charged at £60 ph which is probably on a par with local garages, certainly cheaper than main dealers
