Wheels just under 1mm from caliper
Hi all,
I have just test fit some Team Dynamics wheels, and they are just under 1mm from the caliper .
Would I get away with this for one weekend fun, or would you suggest I put my 3mm spacers on just for this set of wheels?
My Worx wheels are around 4mm clearance therefore are fine, the Dynamics are just a spare set, so I dont want to go with spacers if I can help it as I would then be concerned about the stud length.
I would try some 1 or 1.5 spacers If I coudl get some in time, but Ive looked everywhere to no avail
Rob
ps, Im not a fan of spacers, but needs must

I would use a 3mm just for piece of mind.
Had the same issue on the Rotas, originally had 3mm spacers, still look too close for comfort, so changed them for 5mm.
True they can't move once torqued up, its just the what if scenario.

If the wheel will freely rotate then they are fine
I ran big brakes on my old puma and there was **** all clearance, done 7 sessions of combe and had them on the car over a year with no issues

Bear in mind mine were Rotas trying to clear Brembo's, a very common issue that requires spacers.

I busted a 17" wrx wheel on track when some debris got caught between the spoke and my k sport caliper. There's only a little bit of clearance, and I think the caliper / wheel acted as a shear for whatever I drove over.
More clearance would probably have prevented this, but this is the only issue I've had in four years with this combo.
Bust a spoke and gouged the calliper.

Like others on here I ran a Rizzla thick gap between my Porsche calipers and alloys on the VR6 for 4+ years both dragging and tracking the car and didn't get any issues whatsoever. There was also no sign on the calipers of anything ever getting in between the wheel and caliper.
