Question

Does anyone know where the best place is to get colour coded side skirts for a wrx ? I've got one on order in WR Blue, and that's the first thing that gets changed.

How easy is it, or is it a job for the garage ?

Cheers

I got mine done by the main dealer Monty`s in Sheffield

Looks much better in my opinion . they did it b4 i picked the car up. Mine is also in WR blue.

I think it added about £200 to the cost

OK Cheers Mate, glad to hear you're enjoying yours aswell....I'm really looking forward to it.. but think you're right.. it looks much better with the side skirts...

My problem is I'm getting it from Jamjar.. so there's no option to have anything different other than the seats... so I need to get it done when it arrives...

I was told by my dealer that my Euro import's skirts were painted by the factory?!?

However, if it has not been done by the time you collect I'm sure it will be cheaper if you take it to a local paint shop, after all as pointed out earlier that's more than likely what the dealer would do & then charge you a commision as well.

nib, don't think that is true. MY02 from Belgium.

D, if your importing from belgium get the dealer in belgium to do it, mine quoted me around 4000 Bfr I think. Which is approximately 60 notes. Bargin. (sorry again greg) When I said don't get the dealer to do it I meant, don't get a UK dealer to do it, I guess paint is a lot cheaper in Belgium either that or UK dealers are taking this pi$$

Question

It's coming from Holland.... Does anyone know if it's likely to be colour coded from there ? .... before I try to break the language barrier..... :0)

I was told that there is no such thing as a UK car only a European one. Therefore the cars come as standard with IM adding an alarm etc. and charging £3K more.

A Dutch car will not therefore have painted skirts - if you are using an importer get them to ask the Dutch dealer how much they will charge - you're paying them!

Even if you don't get them done, you cann't see them when you're behind the wheel so why worry.... just enjoy!!
