Just read this on another thread.

"Also started talking about a slight knocking noise from the boot area and the dealer agreed on the spot to change the rear near side strut or both struts if required, top bloke, Steve at Oaken Wolverhampton."

With just 800 miles on mine has had a slight knocking from the rear near side boot area since new. Took out the tools just in case and the jack seems to be pretty rigid.

Any body any suggestions should I mention it on Friday when it goes in for the 1000mile service?

Thumbs down

Mines doing it as well

As discussed on another thread it is also 4mm lower left-rear than right-rear...like most of the others, it seems.

Do you think it was designed this way? Or was the guy fitting the left rear damper just over eager?

Hi all,

Dealer is going to replace topmount on 30 May. I'll advise the outcome!

See also other "STi UK shocks" threads here and under 'suspension'

Cheers
