Default Is it possible?

Has anyone tried putting a 3 ltr flat 6 in a classic? Would it fit an 07 STI DCCD box and are they a turboed engine?

think it's this one

also Andy Forrest runs a flat 6 although it's larger than the 3litre.

If you mean the SVX engine then yes, Andy's Forrest, Jgm, Matty@ pole position(newage) have all got them, some are finished(if they ever are) some in process and a few others that are being worked on by others, Not a straight forward swap though

SVX was an N/A engine, you can't just drop it in and strap a turbo to it.

Of you plan to do this conversion you need to double your budget then double it again also have plenty of hair to pull out and the Patients of a saint there really not straight forward stupidly expensive and time consuming some taking 3 years to complete todate my advise really think hard about it and budget everything before you begin iv learned the hard way I won't be doing it again

Ahh. Is it the same doing it with the 2.5? I guess the 3 ltr conversion gets a tad closer to money no object situation

If you're thinking of sticking with a 4 cylinder engine, just do a proper 2.33L.

the later 3.0 H6 engines are slightly shorter overall and can also work in any format you wish dependant on budget??
