dump valve

I think it's 32 or 38mm I can't remember. Google can be your best friend with something like that, or ask the stockists of the valve you're going for.
There are just quite a few dump valve threads on here, some of the Scoobynet police like to vent their days frustration on dump valve thread starters from time to time, it can be quite funny.

I really don't see what the big problem is with them to be honest. It is a little hypocritical hating on them for "chavvyness" when half the people ripping on them probably have ridiculous exhausts and massive wings on the backs of their bright blue car with gold wheels.

Well as we all know the Rally drivers are super-chav because they're snickered up to the hilt - even on their clothing - and have dump valves on their cars.

Dave, that's absolutely killed me.
Agreed to the above a WRC car won't be running a dump valve as they have complicated anti lag systems but unless I'm very much mistaken I have seen group N cars making your classical whoosh-pst noise as they fly past.

I would rather you don't manipulate what I write alcazar, and I don't understand, or care about, what EFA stands for.
J3Y JW - You can read through these threads till you go blue in the face, everybody has an opinion, some are more forcefull with it, but if you want to put a dump valve on your car then nobody is going to stop you.
In all fairness you will look like a prat if you 'dump' it past bus-stops etc, but again, nobody is going to stop you.
I recommend you find a subaru tuning specialist near by and ask them their opinion, unfortunately if you are not part of the 'click' on here you will keep encountering people that want to 'troll' you, wind you up or taint your goals with their opinion.
It is easy to sit behind a keyboard writing war and peace, so go ask some tuners you can stand infront of. Things said to your face are often more honest and not just said to gain respect from fellow keyboard fishermen.
Enjoy your Scooby.

I am not aware of ONE trusted one that thinks a VTA d/v is a good idea.
In the end, people will make up their own minds. Some will choose to ignore advice...not opinions, ADVICE, however couched. Some of those will pay the price.
But as I said, it would be a pretty poor forum if we who know better () said nowt and let people do stuff that is at best, useless for the outlay, and at worst harmful to the running of their car and maybe to the engine.
