I have GOT TO do that duck call mod, it's awesome! 
Maybe a kazoo would work too?
In the meantime, I'm waiting for hell to break loose on this thread, and will hold off on any comments that inevitably are going to be made by someone else anyway!

I certainly did, although that sticky is an 08-10 2.5 sticky, mine is an 06!! - ha ha! That's a tenuous defence isn't it? Anyway, call it "playing the odds", but I figure if its going to go bang, it's going to do it within the first 6 months ownership... Whilst it's still the dealers problem! If it doesn't, then having it forged is on the cards!!

I am not aware of ONE trusted one that thinks a VTA d/v is a good idea.
Lighten up.
In the end, people will make up their own minds. Some will choose to ignore advice...not opinions, ADVICE, however couched. Some of those will pay the price.
But as I said, it would be a pretty poor forum if we who know better () said nowt and let people do stuff that is at best, useless for the outlay, and at worst harmful to the running of their car and maybe to the engine.

i like how the newbys call us the chav police
always end in wars these threads but if we could just save one subaru and there is not many left now from the breakers yard and it also protects the image of subaru
do you really think its cool to go past a bus stop and crowds going wwwhhhooosshhhhhh
mcdonalds teenage girls might like it and get moist but the real enthuasist just laugh and thinks it belongs with
fake roof vents
lexarse lights
spinners
and neons
