Hey guys, great way to introduce myself I guess but my names Kyle and im from Scotland. To cut a long story short i've been sitting on this forum and doing various digging trying to work out what this bloody car is for sale.
Im wanting to know the exact model before I phone about it tomorrow.

Its advertised as an 1995 WRX STi Type RA.
Although i've done digging and all STi RAs should be fitted with a roof vent which this one does not. Which then brought me to it must just be a WRX Type RA, but it has full STi interior and engine bay looks to be STi also especially with red manifold? (although could be painted).
So now im thinking is it just a JDM WRX STi v2?

Im really really confused with all these different versions,models and special editions of the Impreza.

That car is not a ra.
Looks like a v2 wrx sti.

Ra have
No rear wiper
No skirts
No bumper extensions
Black door handles
Black door mirrors
Manual mirrors


This has electric folding mirrors.

early ra might not have the roof flap but the aerial is in the front a pillar not the back quarter and as above.

^^^ RA's have the aerial above the drivers door on the A pillar and no rear wiper.

Looks to be a V2 STI to me.

Get the applied model code from the seller and that will tell you.

The seats are correct for an RA but so much isn't right. There should be a roof vent and it should have DCCD. I can't tell in the pics if it has or not.

The door handles and mirrors shouldn't be colour coded.

Get the 'Applied model code' from the plate under the bonnet and we can check that way.

As stated its a v2 sti for me, too many things seem to be amiss for it to be a ra.

100% not an ra, millions of ads these days stating that they are for some reason.

No central locking
No abs
Wind up windows
No rear wiper
No side skirts or bumper trims
Dccd gearbox
Sti ra has a roof flap apart form the v1

Id have another ra in a second, fantastic cars but crazy low gearing not good for motorway driving lol

Hi Kyle,

FYI. The Brembo brakes & revolution wheels are not standard on the STi V2. Obvious point, but had to be made

Not sure on the steering wheel as the red stitching is not clear.
