I'll be interested to hear your views, as I'm looking at the non-prodrive version myself (in silver), just can't decide whether to wait for a preview of the new version b4 I take the plunge...
Cheers

Car is awesome----looks great in blue. There is a silver one at my dealers, looks abit odd with gold alloys.
Rev limiter set at 4000 very frustrating but I must run it in properly,I must run it in,I must run it in----------
Anyone else picked up theirs today if so did you feel a might nevous driving it out of the dealers????
Going out to drive it again

Pooder, you lucky B8stard...not that I am at all envious ;-)
Would you let me know the name and number of your local dealer, as I agree, the gold/silver combo is a worry as I have yet to see one in the flesh, or a decent pic. Maybe your dealer would take a pic for me.
Enjoy the car..
Cheers

Picking my silver STi up at the weekend

Having the wheels powder coated anthracite.
The 18 inch 'crystal titanium' coloured wheel that is now available would look very nice with silver, couldn't quite afford the car AND the 18's!

The first thing you really notice if you have owned a classic is the build quality. Then the clutch and gearbox-they are a work of art. The dealer has left teh waxy stuff all over the engine bay anyone got any thoughts on this???
Gareth is that yours in the showroom

The crystal titanium finish is very similar to that of the M3 and M5. Bell & collvill have a set on a black Prodrive demonstator they are running, looks stunning. They are the same style as the gold OZ's already available but in the new finish, there is a picture in the new STi accessories brochue.

I am sure it is because the salesmans description fits. He said the guy whos car this is is getting married and is not picking it up till July.Suggest you call them and tell them to put it somewhere safe and out of sight.
What about the gunk all over the engine anybody

Glad you like the car Pooder. I was impressed with the improvements after I swapped my MY99, and mine is only the WRX. Bet the STI is even better That stuff on the engine was also on mine. Doesn't come off the alu bits easily, but I managed to get it off the oil cap, dipstick and other "servicable" items using tar remover.
Enjoy your car

Pooder, it stops the surface of the alloy oxidising.

I'd leave it on

Poodle,

* Grin * , yes, your right, that was my car in the showroom. If I can get the insurance sorted out by Thursday, I can pick it up on Saturday.

Noodle,
As soon as I get it, I will be taking some digital pictures, i'll happily e-mail them to you if you like. I personally think that the silver look really nice...

Oh goodie, only 4 days to go.....
