help me please im a learner and worried!
i was travelling down the road yesturday and i was approching the front on an anpr van.... the looked at the speedo and thought crap! i was about 7 - 10 mph over the 40MPh limit... do anpr vans have front speed camera? this is the exact van i went past..

Hi
Well thats the exact van i passed i couldnt see any in the front window and the side windows was wasnt open. when i wnt passed it at 30 ish.
and the mobile camera locations according to northants police website there not one one great billing way

As Iggy said. ANPR teams aren't interested that much in speed unless you're being dangerous.
They're looking for vehicles used in crime and ones without tax, insurance, mot etc...
If they wanted to stop you they'd have done it there and then and not sent you a letter in the post.

Why worry about it? Nothing you can do now.
If something turns up in the post then you have a problem. If not, no problem.
Chances are your speedo is over reading and so actual speed probably in the order of 10% lower.
I believe they have 14 days to provide you with a NIP.
Touching wood, I've been past a number of speed wagons in different circumstances whilst over the speed limit and was convinced something would turn up but didn't dwell on the problem. So far nothing has turned up.

As above if nothing in the post within 14 days then dont worry, unless its a company car or not registered to your address in which case the 14 day rule doesnt apply..
They usually offer the speed awarenss course anyway unless you were way over which would mean no points, you just have to pay for the course....
