Question How much to pay?

hi all at scoobynet, i bought a 2005 legacy estate 2.oi sport 140k and it turns out the big ends are gone(i think)
, how much would be reasonable for a used engine? would it be cheaper to just buy another car?
thanks for any opinions.

That's certainly had it.

It's up to you whether you want to go down the re-build route but it doesn't look like it's worth it.

Even if you were you can't just change the bearings on these, its a full engine strip. Try and find a cheap engine to put in (engine swap is easy to do)

Probably best to break as above...
