Silver Hawkeye SpecD - RO0*AAX - anyone know it?
Mate of mine is interested in this car, but the ad/price is a bit suspicious. Does anyone know the car? Hopefully it's not an SN members car being used for a scam advert!

It was listed on PH for 24hrs (stated this in the listing), is now gone. Mate (non-member) contacted seller who told him she's in Italy for 6 months and a firm over here will sort out the deal on her behalf. Funny thing is though this company was only registered 48 hrs ago - may be genuine but seems a bit fishy to me. 'She' has also got an Audi TT for sale too -

May be genuine, but all sounds too dodgy if it were me.
Was it private or trade sale? I would wonder why she needs to sell 2 cars when she is not even in the country!

The kicker is the price advertised on the PH listing - £3500 IIRC!!!

I drove that car down in Southampton last June when looking for Spec-D's.
Male owner at the time and a genuine family guy (I have his name and mobile number still).
Bonnet had some none repairable (but small) dents in the front edge, brembo discs and pads all needed replacement as did the clutch imo. Service history had a fair amount of Subaru but pretty sure it wasn't ALL subaru (pretty sure one was just a local garage but could be wrong).
I didn't buy it because he didn't agree on price vs the clutch & brake replacement (think it'd done 50k at the time and no sign of it). Plus i was a bit dubious of the Sti badging which were not present on the Spec-D. It was the first Spec-D I saw and while i didn't check 100% I don't recall the Spec-D badge at the base of the B pillar. Could be wrong again (lots of bangs to the head since then!) but if its not there it'd suggest either a fake or a repair where the sticker was forgotten!
I say fake... it was 100% an STi and went/drove well. Also noted it was parked on a VERY steep drive with little room by the doors and if you came off it too quick you'd catch the bumper or exhaust (hence shiny tip maybe??).
Hope that helps if you do go for it.

Nope those pics are actually a lot better than the ones posted on the Autotrader Ad that i responded to. It had the original stereo in it at the time (rather than the void with nothing in it that appears in there on those pics!).
Worth getting in contact maybe and asking specifically for pics of the front edge of the bonnet, the Spec D sticker and the service book stamps.
Lets face it if they can't respond to that request it is bogus. Other thing to consider is that it was also very close to the coast where i saw it and hence salt water corrosion on the underside will need checking.

Just looked deeper... walk away. Google her email address = 3 pages of high spec cars that "she" owns lol - report it to PH.
EDIT - don't bother as I've found the original PH ad and says its been pulled due to fraud. Nuff said really.
