Default Problems with my Defis???

This morning my oil pressure gauge stopped working, it was a loose connection going into the controller. Now I have nothing, no power going to the dials or the controller? Any idea anyone?

Check connections to the controller.

There should be FOUR captive wires (NOT going in via any sort of plug).
Red is a permanent live.
Orange is a switched (ignition) live.
White is lighting live.
Black is earth.

My guess would be that you have somehow disconnected the earth wire. That will definitely make them sop working all at once.

Which cable is that?

You could search some sites like Rapid Electronics, or vehicle-wiring-products.

Ebay, Google "Buy Defi UK" and ask a Defi dealer, look on Rapid Electronics site for the connectors, or try somewhere like vehicle-wiring-products.

Right so with a bit of help I've been directed to the following website. What I require is an oil temp lead that goes to the defi controller and also the lead that goes into the meter output 2.

http://shop.edoperformance.co.uk/def...pr705kotrjfhp0

Which exact ones do I need??? I'm being abit special.

2).Defi Meter Wire 1M [PDF00615H] @ £16 or £20 for a 2m one.

Also a few in the states on the bay which work out around $30 each posted

I'd go with the US ones, those other prices are daft.

just to update you guys, and for future reference, i got the wires fixed, after spending days on it and killing my finger tips and it still not working.

i had a friend but some eyes on it and discovered its a lose connection on the metre pins on the circuit board of controller. ive done a temp fix of wrapping cable round so it has pressure on it and cable tying it behind dash outta way, so it is working and my ecu trips can come back on.

but just for fault finding later if anyone has any issues, it could be the controller and not just the wires.

edit: just realised i posted this on wrong thread

Do you think that there has been strain put on the connectors which has sprained them and maybe cracked the joints on the inside?
