Default Help for Heroes London rally

Hi,

its that time of year already, silly season, our first rally this year with our Help for Heroes RAF rally car is this weekend in London.

Seeded 8 cars above a REAL subaru WRC car they clearly expect us to be up there, lets hope we can live up to their expectations.

Heres the car with its new livery, its been refreshed with zircotec coated exhaust system, turbo and inlet manifold for us to test in a taxing environment, if it survives a season on this car it will survive many many years on a road/track car.

And here showing the Red Arrows involvement this season.

Keep you posted.

cheers
Kev

Looks lovely Kev. Well done to all the lads at the clinic, and good luck to all involved.

Hi Fellas,

thanks for your support, it IS for a good cause too,

We had to pull out all stops to make sure it was at this rally as this is THE "Help for Heroes" London rally, and with our car being the "help for Heroes" RAF rally car it had to be there.

There were some late nights this week I will tell you, finally mapped last night at 8.00 PM.

275 BHP and a whopping 400 Ftlbs all delivered at 3000.00 RPM, not bad through a 35 MM turbo restriction, goes like a stabbed rat.

cheers

Kev

Nice motor Kev. That torque figure is awesome! All the best for the rally.

Hi,

banging on here but the H4H car is currently 3rd in class and 4th overall, just another 250 miles to go, bouncing off the rev limiter with anti lag on permanantly.

Plenty to play for.

Cheers

Hi,

its not the best of news but that’s motor-sport.

In the second stage we were up to 2nd in class and 2nd overall with a definite podium when the Syvecs decided to cut the engine due to oil temps exceeding their pre set safety limit.

We knew when the car left us that a better oil cooler was needed but as ambient temps were around 14 degrees we thought we would get way with it and re address it for the Manx rally, however ambient temps were 24 degrees at one point so the oil cooler became ineffective, bugger !!!

At least we can sort it and a massive thanks to the Syvecs ecu for saving the engine.

Cheers

Damn! Shame that Kev. That would have been an excellent result. C'est la vie though **** happens as they say. Does bode well for the future and proves what a nifty bit of kit the Syvecs is.

Hi,

and the bonus is, what we learn on the track, a sprint or in this case a rally we can transfer to customers road and track cars, this is how the syvecs has evolved making it the ecu choice of the pros.

cheers

Not the best of news about the rally but at least the Syvecs appears to have done a cracking job at saving the engine. Cant wait to get it fitted to mine
