Default Rear Sti bumper hit at work by some low life

Came back and found a some part of the rear bumper had been hit by another car. The damage is the paint around one area about 2 inches wide is showing the paint showing cracks and some part the paint has flaked off and is showing the primer.

Range the police as there was cctv but thinks its a waste of time.

I was wondering how hard is it to remove the bumper on 04 blobeye sti?

Regards.

It's dead easy mate, can't remember where all the fasteners are but you can't go wrong

When I changed my bumper for the very same reason as you are it was very straight forward, no breakages etc. you may need a hand when taking it off the car purely because of the size of it

Be carefull with the bolts inside the rear arches as they easily snap.

Easy job and when I removed mine was amazed at how thin they were, if its only a small area on a corner it can be blended without to much cost, a body shop will touch up the base coat then clear the whole panel, should be cheaper than a replacement bumper. I had mine done but mine had damage where I had reversed into my security post as well as the boot had rubbed paint inside the bootlid and a small scuff on one corner and it cost £270, at least I know its perfect now.
