Default Potential classic type RA purchase

Evening all, I'm in the market for a classic type RA and spotted this on eBay...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-IMP...item41721c0281

I'm after a fairly original car and the seller tells me he has the mid-level spoiler and standard wheels. Haven't seen it in the metal but looks pretty straight and clean in the pictures.

Price seems too good to be true? Does anybody know the car or the seller?

Many thanks, Ben.

I've tried to buy a scooby off this guy before.
Not gonna go into it but I felt like I was given the runaround after making an eBay offer

Do they really have thinner glass? Or lighter bootlid?

Yes to the glass and no to the lid, and anyone that say's they have lighter/alloy panels is talking poo, bonnet should be alloy though.

I thought the thinner glass was only on newage, but I stand to be corrected. It won't have lightweight panels or boot lid - but it will need replacing if you want to fit a low or mid rise spoiler as it will now have 'extra' holes to allow fitting of the V5 (copy) spoiler.

Thanks, didn't realise that. If I find a classic STI RA and want the pre-facelift look, would I need wings, bumper, bonnet, lights and grill? Or are the lights identical and therefore only bumper, bonnet and grill?

Thanks!

It's NOT a 1997 car either!!

It has an angled intercooler and the 1997 would not have an angled one. That is older than 1997.

Ask about this or any other car here;

http://www.type-ra.com/subaru-forum/forum.php

There is at least one for sale on there.

http://www.type-ra.com/subaru-forum/...i-type-ra.html

That has been verified as a genuine car and is really good for the price.

No it's not mine.
