Im going to return.
Well lads, i have had around 8 months being a non subaru owner and to be honest i am miserable. I have gone from BMW's to Jags, merc coupes to Vectras and still miss the grunt and driving style of an Impreza.
I am looking at an Hawkeye 55 reg 2.5 saloon, 73k miles 1 owner FSH. The 2.5 engine always get bad reports, from overheating problems to knocking the bottom end out to piston ring failure etc. Is it a reliable engine to drive sportily ? and what are the bolt on mod options, say to move it up to 300 bhp. Will it have pinks in already etc ? I know the later intercoolers are different shapes too. Is it a drive by wire engine ? or cable.
