Default 129k Classic, too much?

Long time lurker, thought I'd post my first Subaru question.

I noticed this Impreza Turbo which looks well from the photos. However, it has done 129k according to the advert.

I know modern engines are relatively reliable and are well capable of going over 200k but I'm not sure of classic Imprezas like this one. Without an in-depth buying guide (like that of the one on the Lancer Register), I'm a bit lost.

Is 129k too much on an engine from that era?

Also, apologies if I've posted this to the wrong board.

An engine can go anytime regardless of mileage but the more miles they cover yes the chances do increase. It's all down to how it's been looked after servicing etc. besides who's to say that's its original engine or its not had a rebuild at sometime in its life.

Cheers, guys. I appreciate the responses.

@Gambit - Turns out it's on that site you mentioned. Still waiting on getting approved by admin. I ran it by the wife-to-be and she ran down the idea. I guess when you have weddings to pay for, changing cars isn't the smartest thing to do.
